This Safety Week, we’re highlighting Lifesaving Victoria's Watch Around the Water Policy (WAW) to remind parents and guardians of its importance.

WAW educates the public about active supervision to keep kids safe.

In recent weeks, we’ve noticed more parents and guardians using phones on pool deck. While we understand the excitement of watching your child swim, staying alert is crucial for your childs safety.

When: Monday 24 March to Sunday 30 March

What to bring: Please wear clothes to wear over bathers for swimming lessons

How can you help?

  • Watch Closely: Keep your eyes on your kids and stay close.
  • Actively Supervise: No phones, no books, no laptops.
  • Stay Close: Kids under 5 must be within arm’s reach. Children under 10 must need to be actively supervised.
  • Follow staff instructions, our team are here to keep everyone safe.

As a proud Watch Around the Water Centre, we need your support to ensure a safe experience for everyone.
